We have been thinking that we would only have to work a half day today. Last week company decided we work all day today. Uuggghhhh. They will pay me to surf web for 8 hours like I did the 3 days last week.

I left 8 days of vacation on the table so I am taking today off.

Well we have a lot going on at my department. And one of my coworkers is out of the country. So I could easily be busy all day if I stayed a full day.
I'm supposed to have the on call phone all week starting today. Gonna beg my coworker to take it for me so I don't have to carry it tomorrow. I don't have to come into work or anything, just have to give advice, consult our policies for various stuff. If I get a call during the game it would suck.

Seriously how does this happen? I am using every single one (and sometimes more that I dont get paid for). My husband gets 6 weeks PTO and uses it all so i have to keep up!

I was backfilling several positions at work and taking off just would have meant coming back to hell and it wasn’t worth it. Also, I’m not much of a planner, I just like to wake up and decide I want the day off. That doesn’t happen too often.

My Oncall at a game CSB:
I was on-call for Bama 2002. We were losing like 28-0 in the 3rd and I got called.
The guy apologized profusely and I tried to act bothered by it as I descended the ramps to go home and login.
