Usually i’ll Suggest we meet out at the bar first, unless I know them. That way I can make sure they aren’t an axe murderer.
But I don’t really do restaurants, i’d Much rather cook a meal for us. I’ll let them pick a selection off the wine racks, or make a drink from the bar. I just find cooking together a supremely fun activity to do on a date. Like making bread or pasta. It’s fun

Well yeah, i mean you can’t even trust a person to be who they are unless you meet them first. Learned my lesson on that one.
But yes, once we’ve met and everyone is comfortable and cool, we usually go back to my place. It’s set up for entertaining. Full bar, good tunes, games, food, etc. and I just love being a host.
