Good morning fellow darkies. Still waiting for some sun on the right coast here.

I read the instructions yesterday.

I bumped the realtor thread last night.

Had no idea about the family history with the law.

Been building kitchen cabinets for my guest house.

Got all the uppers done and will start on the bottom ones today. All the lumber came off my saw mill and the logs that I sawed came off my place.

I had to research King Cake a few years ago to find out they were talking about.

How big is the guest house?

Looks nice.

Is that where you go when you make the wife mad?

Apparently dad owns a construction co. where they do framing. Their license is not active. I hope she does a little time but the felony may have been dropped.

I hope I have enough attention span to follow it.

1100 living, 2 bed/1 bath. I been working on it almost 3 years. Once I finish it, there is a very good chance the wife and I move in it. Our house is way to big for just the wife in I. Besides that, this little house is custom built with a lot of extras that one doesn't see anymore. There is a lot of oak woodwork all thru the house.

Kitchen island.

The kitchen/ living room has exposed timber beams and all the wainscoting looks just like the cabinets. All doors, window casing. ect are the same way too!

Nice work Fish. I would be proud too. Has this week made you consider a fireplace or old pot bellied stove?

Good morning Tidal. Are you stepping out to play that funky music today? If nothing else you can play a little on the porch. No matter how cold, I go out every day wearing just a pair of shorts. Goals, and whatnot....

Pics?

The cabinets look great by the way. How long did that island take to build?

I would get one for here but I think our week of winter is almost over. They look cool and function at a high level.

Can't find a picture.

Island took two days. But really from sawing up the logs, drying, resawing, edging and plane out the wood, about 10 months. That island cost me about $25. That was for one sheet of 3/4" plywood.

They do take up a lot of space. You have to keep the area clear around them. Mine is mounted in between, center of the kitchen/living room.
