Sounds similar to Turo.

General Motors announced Tuesday it's getting into the peer-to-peer car sharing program, which will allow owners to make money by renting out their vehicles through the Maven app. The move will add a new revenue stream for the automaker. It will allow those who own or lease a 2015 or newer GM vehicle to add it to the Maven app. Maven members can rent cars by the hour, the day, the week or the month. "Your car is one of the most expensive things you own. Sitting idle, it is a wasted asset," said Julia Steyn, vice president of GM Urban Mobility and Maven. "It's time to put your car to work. Maven's peer-to-peer offering is a smart way for owners to offset their vehicle investment." GM said those who rent their vehicles will keep 60 percent of the income. The automaker takes the other 40 percent, but will provide insurance for the rentals.

Does maven let you set your own prices or us there a set pricing model?

Heard about this on the way to work this am on CNBC. I don't know what Turo gets but GM is planning on keeping 40% and requires a 2015 model car or newer.
I don't have a problem with the 2015 model car or newer but 40%? Who does that? Does GM cover the owner if the renter totals the car?

My understanding is that GM covers the rental insurance.
I assume 2015 and newer due to Onstar changes, or GM wants potential buyers riding in newer vehicles.

2015 was the first year of the new Tahoe/suburban/Yukon, so that being one of their biggest models is probably why they only want people driving the current style

Interdasting.
I just rented a car through Turo for a trip next week. First timer and it was an easy process overall.
40% seems very freaking high for GM's cut though

Turo
Based on this article, Turo takes 25% of the trip price plus they charge additional fees that I assume they get all of. So the 40% probably isn’t that far off of what Turo makes
