I like how everyone knows one way or the other, rather than simply admitting that we really don't have a good grasp on what the frick is going on. People are so tied up to being right that no one admits honest ignorance.
There's this thing called science...
and also this thing called NASA

but why not take steps to reduce our impact just in case a lot of people smarter than me are actually right?
Exactly. Worst case scenario, we have cleaner air to breathe and a generally cleaner environment

Those projections are always skewed with a million caveats.
People that claim to know, with certainty, exactly what's going on in a macro system as big as the earth are completely full of shite.

Are we losing ice at the caps? Yes or no

Let's say yes, then what?

what the hell is wrong with you people? You do realize you can agree that we're losing ice at the caps and still not be a flaming, raging progressive, right? I'm not in favor of progressive climate change reforms, but I understand wtf science is.

The oceans gradually increases in sea level every year, until eventually *on a long enough time line*, a city like New York is submerged.

Love the display of facts.
People just can't accept that the earth is getting warmer. It's like people automatically make it some liberal agenda and refuse to "believe" in it.
Musk is making an effort to reverse warming through electric vehicles, but in my opinion it's going to take a lot more than that. There are other factors that we're likely not taking into account yet.
It may be completely out of our control honestly and we're simply on a path to a reset on planet earth.

So what's the solution? That's my question.

You're in a thread arguing that climate change science is bogus and then you ask what's so bad about the ice caps melting? Entire islands being submerged, cities and farmland being lost...
These are the clowns that give conservatives a bad name

Airlift every iceberg out of the ocean over many years and deposit them on land to melt

That's the real debate. We're having trouble getting there because a lot of people straight up deny that it's even happening. This thread is a great example.

It is winter in Antarctica. People that are comparing it to they temp in Texas are atupid

A great question and one there might not even be an answer to. The issue now is people outright denying FACTS that the earth is gradually warming. You have to have universal "agreement" there before any possible solutions can come to the table

How many F'ing times does it have to be said that one single event does not prove anything?
My grandmother smoked a pack a day until she died at age 101 from Alzheimer's. Henceforth, I declare that smoking doesn't cause lung cancer.
Literally the only scientists who deny climate change are the ones paid by oil companies and other interest groups.

Might need yoga girl's verification, but I find it awful conspiracyish that releasing freon (which is supposed to cool) actually heats up the earth. It was actually devised by the government around 1949....same time as chemtrails
