I never understood the weird criticism of The Eagles. It was one of those things that became cool to do but never made any sense. I’m not saying they’re my favorite band or anything.

But I’ve been a fan since the mid-70s when I’d play my dad’s 33s. Got hooked again as a young teen and again in high school.
Bought the Don Henley The End of the Innocence during a rocky young relationship wore that out being a little baby back bitch.

I got a little burned out with “classic rock” generally by mid-college. But have fond memories of the Eagles, Frey etc. You Belong to the City is perfectly goofy. I think I’ll watch the video tonight.

Timothy B Schmidt had a great falsesetto. We got a little band together at my first law firm and played I Can’t Tell You Why with a female vocalist.

I still haven’t watched The Eagles documentary. On list.

RIP Glenn.

Yep.

Although he mellowed out in his later years the damage was done.

Yep, you wouldn’t have known it though. He did his best to stay in background and let it all be about the eagles.

Obviously, he stood out. His guitar playing is hypnotic

Vince Gill

Saw him in June at The FOX Theater here in Atlanta.

He's as good as it gets. And his voice is still great at 68

Fry died from pneumonia and colitis due to medical malpractice. He was supposed to have surgery for his rheumatoid arthritis. His doctor put him on immune suppressing medication. The family sued for malpractice and won a judgment.

Jesus.

I knew he died of pneumonia but not the extenuating circumstances.

That doctor is hopefully flipping burgers somewhere
