I know. Women are nuts. First it was wedding, went to that. Now gender reveal. Then she will have the kid and of course we will have to go see the kid. And they are in the process of purchasing a home, so I guess I will be expected to attend a house warming party. Good grief, I have my own life. She's not my friend, it's not my kid, it's not my house. I don't have time for that nonsense.
I don't know you, but I like you. You're doing the right thing. She's auditioning to be your wife and have that nice life all women want. She needs to learn your boundaries and respect them. Sounds like you understand all that and hopefully will just move on rather than settle for someone that's going to bring drama to your life and end up taking half in a divorce, because she's "cornfed". I was super picky about who I married and it paid off big time, but there was still a learning curve for both of us, but we both gutted that part out because we each thought the other was worth it. Too many guys will do whatever it takes to end up with some nice T&A and end up miserable.
