This is a huge red flag. People with nothing to hide don't care that you look at their phone.
ETA: And really, why would it bother her that you want to know who texted her at 1am? That is a normal question to ask. 1am is a time when people call for emergencies and text for booty calls.

Even if they aren’t screwing, if her first reaction was to lie about their relationship that is a huge red flag.
