Getting rid of a lot of stuff

Is there a business around covington/hammond that will sell/ebay things for a fee? A relative recently died that had a LOT of stuff, some junk, some decent. It's just too much for the family to deal with.

Don't underestimate the power of an ad in the paper for a yard sale. Those people are like a cult. These yard sale junkies will buy your old toothbrush if it has a price tag on it.

Thanks for the tips. Not sure if there are any guns, he literally has 3 rooms and a shop completely full of stuff he was going to fix or resell for a profit one day.

Honestly, a yard sale sounds like your best bet....it is a long day of suck, but you will be surprised how much stuff will sell and how much money they will make. In your case, the best bet is for the immediate family to not be present so sentimentality doesn't get in the way....

Take the household goods and clothes to goodwill and get a big receipt if you itemize your taxes. They have a guide as to how much you can claim per clothing item and the tax impact is worth more than you will ever get at a yard sale.
