Getting a job on an oil rig

I know not having any experience doesn't exactly help my case but are there any certifications or training courses I could take aside from First Aid, H2S Awareness, and Well control to help land a job? Any advice helps and TIA.

The company you go to work for will train you.
What do you want to do?

I don't think any companies are hiring. Not a great field to be working in right now.

Go into ministry and become a pastor

Not now. But it should be better a few months from now. Production is falling and demand is rising. WTI is up around $60/bbl right now.

Our company utilizes quite a few contract companies to employ contractors on the platforms. I've heard DANOS pays well and I don't believe you need much experience.

100 hrs a week for $100k
Posted on 5/13/15 at 9:18 pm to mattz1122
To make $100k working 100hrs/wk, you'd need to be making ~$21.50/hr on a 14/7 schedule. Someone green ain't touchin that. More like $13
