As a paw paw, there are some things that my 7 year old grandson asked me about my time in the Marine Corps. I tried my best to play it down which is best. Some things will just have to wait.

My kids when they were younger their great grandpa was great about telling stories. He told stories about himself on a carrier during WW2. His ship was hit by kalmakazi's(spelled wrong)Japanese their body parts were all over the helo decks. He always finished his story with a small jar that had a japs ear inside in some kind of solution. True story. Also told stories of his grandfather telling him stories about playing piano for union troops for money during the Civil war. He is gone now but those stories will never be forgotten.

It’s priceless. The best is to film it.
