I think the guy passed out or had a heart attack and the door could only be opened from the inside. Crazy there isn't a way to override that.

They reinforced cockpit doors after September 11th. While that will protect the pilots from passengers it could have negative consequences.

They think it was a medical emergency and the other pilot slumped forward on the controls.
They THINK. Total speculation at this point.

Every flight ive been on, if a pilot comes out the cockpit to piss, a stewardess has to sit up there til he gets back so always 2 people in cockpit.
Or the stewardess is blowing the captain idk.
