I think of this bit everytime I hear someone talk about "saving the planet". Ditto his airplane bit.
George went out with a bang. His penultimate HBO special sucked (I actually flipped the channel 20 minutes in.) Now the interesting thing is the timing of 9/11 between his specials. I saw him starting on his next special and though he had to look at note cards to remind himself of what bit was next, it was really good. Then 9/11 happened. I saw him perform in Nov 2001. He had scrapped most of his set and went to his cards a lot. His timing was slightly off but it was still superior to other comedians. This was the set that eventually made it to HBO (NRA LaPierre attack)...I think 3rd to last.

He was funny sometimes, but a retard politically. He should have stuck with comedy instead of using it as a platform to spout his leftist ideology.

Anthony Jeselnik is MUCH more offensive and he is huge in comedy right now.
Well, he got kicked off Comedy Central for being too offensive (the shark bit after the shark attack)

Love Carlin
His bit in why he doesn’t vote is brilliant.

Have you watched the news lately?
Maybe you should ask Chris Matthews about that.
your comeback to the statement that the offended are not the majority is to cite the news? this is where the damn myth started, for frick's sake.

Doug Stanhope may be one of the most "offensive". He's older now and gives less of a shite. He's managed to keep his overhead down, lives in the border town of Bisby, AZ, and isn't reliant upon regular gigs for his income. In other words, he doesn't have much at all to lose by offending the wrong people. And he takes it to heart.
Probably one of my favorites.

I watched that whole thing. Not funny. At all. I agreed with all of it. Outspoken. Interesting. Bold, maybe, but not “comedy” in the least.
You sound fun.
