Right. However, we are talking about salvaging meat not sitting around a camp fire talking about being a third string kicker on the varsity team.

But explain why three days without power is an ordeal.

Phew, I'm the opposite. I don't understand the food stocking because I think a few days without massive piles food isn't a huge deal and probably something most Louisianaians would benefit from.

But a few days without AC is the worst. If I lose power, I'm going park it on the couches at Bulldog (if they have power).

Oh I agree. It's why I have one too.

The question became if for comfort only.

That is a by-product, but it is nice.

Looking at a 9200w one for the future. How much can that run?

Damn near a whole house depending on what the AC pulls. I’m set up to run a 12000 btu window unit, deep freeze, fridge, a tv and DVD player, and some fans.

It’s been too damn hot lately to be sweltering in the summer heat and not have a cool place to come home to.

Knock on wood, haven’t even taken it out the box yet

How much gas you got? You probably need 15 gallons a day to run all that.

I’ve got 4 full cans of ethanol free.

Specs say it’s supposed to run almost 14 hours on a 6.6 gallon tank.
I don’t think the ac and freezer pull all that much and i’ll Run the ac when we need to.

Hopefully we don’t need to
