If you lose power for three days, you won't need a generator.

Hell, during Gustav I didn't have power for 13 days.

I worked. Went home. I drank wine, read books by candle and flashlights, took a cold shower, and passed out.

Losing electricity is not the end of the world.

I mean some people have deep freezers full of food that cost more than a generator or at least offsets the cost. Also, some very expensive medications have to stay refrigerated. It's not always about creature comforts.

Threads like this are why I bought a generator on sale many months ago when it wasn’t hurricane season.

We are talking about keeping an infant alive. Not keeping your Greek yogurt cold.

Right? I’ve got several hundred lbs of meat in my freezers. Homemade sausage. Way too
Much time and money and work went into getting it all to let some pissant storm let it all go to waste.

$600 for a 6000w generator and gas I can use if I don’t need it is easily a cost i’ll Stomach

But explain why three days without power is an ordeal.

It's not.

To real men it's called deer hunting or a camping trip.

It's 95 not around the clock, nor is it my fault that you're a flaming pussy.
