Mine is made by FNC.
They just used an outdoor mfg name on the generator.
Works good so far fridge, lights, TV, & window.
A little quieter than the Briggs and Generac and very light on gas. Have 3/4 of a tank of fuel and I have been running since 1:30 am.

how were you powering those devices?

Should be a fuel cutoff valve if not buy one and install it Amazon

People keep saying this about generators but lawn equipment doesn’t. Now I guess they don’t run constantly, but they are used hard.
Sure an older engine will burn oil. But a newer engine in tip top shape won't.

You can easily install an inline valve so u can shut off fuel and run carb empty... go to O'Reilly auto for a basic fuel valve

Honda 2000, fantastic. Television, wifi, router, roku, box fan, led table lamps, fridge. Unplugged fridge to run the coffee pot. Tank lasts about 6 hours.

Generac whole house generator. Was well worth the money. Especially during hurricane season.

Curious how you are connecting all of the devices?
Just bought a generac 6500. I see that I can get a transfer switch installed, but seeing other options as well.

It’s tied into an electronic switch that cuts the power when the valve is closed. I need to figure out how to disable that switch. Or I guess run a manual valve behind the primary valve.

22kw Generac. Been rolling since 10:30 last night. A/C, fridges, the whole 9 yards

It's working fine. I don't know what it is because the identifying stickers got blown off by the wind last night.

I have 2 Honda 2200 run em parallel. Or split to opposite ends of house.
Have a Yamaha 1000 if I just need some fans or the fridge.

I’ve thought about generac ever since Gustav but it’s been over 10 years and haven’t needed one since then
What is the useful life on these things
I know it runs once a week To test it as my neighbors have one but will it be reliable when you really need it?

They’re supposed to be. During/after Laura 5 people I know with Generacs didn’t work. One of those replaced it with a Cummins & seems to be good to go

48kw is a little overkill isn’t it?
How much generator do you need for. 2400 sq ft house?
Would a large portable power a whole house including AC? I’ve had some people say yes and others say no.
Sales people always want to oversell you. One I talked
to said anything less than 24kw was a waste and wouldn’t be enough power.

Bought the Generac GP6500 at the start of summer. Ran it a few times but haven’t lost power since.
Wired an outlet so I can back feed the fuse panel. Can run just about everything but the AC.

Not really, it’s appropriate for this house.
