The Gen X circlejerk is hilarious.

I don't get the boomer hate. I get the boomer jokes about computers and them being old in general, just garden variety humor, but this weird hate for that generation at large has always confused me, and nobody has ever once been able to articulate it to my satisfaction.
Pure and simply, they are jealous that we had it good before liberals screwed it all up.

Who were the OG SJWs...Boomers in the late 60s/early 70s. Pretty much every bad move, when it comes to "Progressive Social Change" came from indoctrinated Boomers in the 60s.
The Millennials are just trying to do a repeat of all of that stupid shite from the late 60s.

The boomer generation is the largest generation in American history. There is no other generation that has had as much political and social power. They were handed the greatest economy in human history.
They spent with wanton abandon and pushed policies that would ultimately hamstring those that came after, including Gen X. Let’s also not forget that a majority of them didn’t save enough to support themselves later in life and the impact that is having.
This is why Scruffy loves these threads. Like women, Boomers refuse to take any accountability.
At least I am willing to state that my generation, the millennials, are problematic as hell and will likely cause significant problems in the future. Each subsequent generation has become more and more nihilistic.

In my experience they’re just dead fricking weight in the workplace at this point. Most can’t keep up with technological advancements, they don’t have the means to retire so they’re holding back much more qualified, younger people from those positions. Keep up or move along ffs.
Also, Gen X is 100% responsible for participation trophies & blue haired gender less children. They have zero backbone.

I don't know man. My dad is an older Boomer. He was born in 1949 and graduated from LSU in 1972. The 70s had gas lines, rampant inflation and interest rates.
I do think they are indeed somewhat responsible (along with the Silent Gen) for the massive debt we've accumulated under W, Obama, Trump, Biden etc.
The problem is there are no fiscal conservatives anymore. That house of cards will collapse in our lifetime most likely.

Bull shite. Boomers pretty much invented the tech you see today.

Why are the boomers selfish assholes?
They are constantly making up for lost time, in hopes that they will never die. Abysmal generation.

Daddy issues. They are both the same when they look in the mirror. The difference is boomers prefer to gloat versus millennials engage in self loathing.

and there goes the victimhood narrative.
That is what separates GenX from the pack: I am going to be successful no matter what I do and not let others around me drag me down.

The Boomers are totally out of touch with the changed world. That's what pisses the younger generations off so much. The Boomers grew up in this nice small little world where they went right up to the owner, shook his hand and looked him in the eye and asked for a job, then worked there 40 years and bought a few houses. And they advise you to do that. They're so out of touch they don't even realize that world doesn't exist anymore, and it's an overregulated overeducated overcertified faceless corporate world now.
So the most ridiculous part is to blame them for that change. I understand being frustrated at them being out of touch. But that proves it's not their fault. If they are actually oblivious to these world changes then clearly it wasn't their idea or their fault.

participation trophies
These go back a very long time, I really don't know how far back. I'm GenX, and when I was playing little league in the 80's, participation trophies existed. GenX isn't responsible for this shite.

blue haired
Maybe. GenX teenagers did start the crazy hair dye stuff with punk rock and heavy metal and whatnot.

gender less children
It's gen-z and mill's that are trying to find identity and self through self-marginalization, flagellation and mental illness. GenX didn't make you gay. You and your tick tock friends made each other gay.

Ignorance of one’s impact doesn’t clear them of culpability.
Boomers were the ones in full control of the system when the shift occurred.

The whole trans movement has been a fairly recent development. I don't even remember that ever being a newsworthy topic of discussion before Bruce Jenner.

How was it their impact? What did they do? Are you prepared to be blamed for world changes happening now that you have no control over and are not even aware of?

I don't know a single Boomer that says that it had that experience and I know a hell of a lot more Boomers than you do. What you describe is what the "Silent Generation" would say.

Please tell which years Boomers were the only voting bloc in the US. Also please tell me which years Boomers were in sole control of the US economy.
