As I said all along.... NOTHING for BR...I thought they may have a few storms with some strong wind but that was it... AGAIN the PANIC button gets pushed too early... Now the miss and bama areas I will pray for you...

I went through this in early AM. Hopefully, there won't be another one tonight in Arkansas or Louisiana. Bama and Miss getting it though. I will pray for them as well.

Light drizzle now. I'm still shaking.

Power went out and I heard a roaring sound. I was so scared.

Area looks okay, though. I think our area, Reservoir Brandon, just missed it.

Latest warning issued in Alabama is "only" a severe thunderstorm warning.

TWC has you at a TorCon of 7 tonight and overnight so the threat unfortunately is very real for Hattiesburg.

Anywhere in Mississippi is a serious threat, but Hattiesburg is on the south side of most of the action today. Could get more intense throughout the early evening.

govt and slackster thank you

as you may know, one of my son's has a congenital heart defect and his main cardiologist/doc is in jackson. So driving north isn't an option, in the event of an emergency, i just want to make sure we are all safe but that we can get him care if need be!

Thank you Sabi. The wife wasn't responding very much to texts, and I'm here in downtown freaking out. Also, we probably live within a mile of one another. It amazes me sometimes how big and small of a world TD is

OMG...so glad you are safe. My daughter is stuck at her work in Northpark. Power is out. Mall is closed.

I'm exhausted already and it hasn't even gotten here yet.

The weather hasn't changed a bit in Hattiesburg in 48 hours. Cloudy, windy. There is nothing near us yet. Hasn't rained a single drop.
