I'd be much happier if I didn't have to go through this shite each year.

Looks like they have 2 different TorCons now in order to maximize fear into the hearts of their viewers.

Yep, I like a good sunday evening thunderstorm, but it looks like it's a bust here. Hope everyone stays safe throughout the region.

I wouldn't let my guard down just yet. The dry line is still to y'alls west and a the low level jet will start increasing with time ramping up shear. The Texas super cells are still working E/NE and will be entering a more dynamic environment. The threat is still real but certainly we are starting to close the window on it, keep your fingers crossed.

It is a weird spot to be in for someone that is a weather nut.

You don't want bad things to happen but you kinda get perked up and interested when bad things are predicted.

It seems like the more tools meteorologists get, the more they shite the bed.

They hyped this up to rival the 1974 outbreak (only half kidding) and not only has there been no outbreak, the area they said was going to be ground zero isn't even going to see a cell.

I know it's a tough business, but damn.

There is a boy calling wolf that is going to get people killed.

It's produced so far, you can't expect everything to happen at once, wait for it all to be over and by wednesday you can judge it all.

If it holds up, it will be in Holly Springs, MS in less than an hour.

There is another around I-55 now that toward Hernando is less organized, but may produce large hail in the Memphis area.

Yeah, but NWLA was a day 3 mod risk calling for storms firing up in the early afternoon, and the threat moving to NELA tonight.

They may get vindication on mon - wed, but the timing for today was wrong.

And while we may still get hammered, at this point most here don't believe we will, which is exactly the problem.

Eta: remove "bullseye" wording.

People are going to stop paying attention.

It's a fiasco.

People that wouldn't know a super cell from a Duracell have been buzzing all week about Sunday and nothing is happening.

It is dangerous.

This is why I love hurricane season. To watch these fools try to put the fear of god in people and over hype damn near every disturbance that traverses the tropical Atlantic. This is exactly why people don't heed warnings and blow off significant weather events. Just like our massive winter storms that we had this winter. Now back on topic

James Spann was passed because the Al EMA tweeted that this was similar to three years ago -- it was deleted. There will be tornadoes tomorrow.. we've had it too easy up until now but I'm hoping it doesn't equal some of the hyperbole out there.

The Memphis stations are covering the Little Rock tornado.....the storms out here have weakened significantly over the past hour.

It went through Mayflower. It's a small, but fairly populated (2k or so) suburb. It's now headed toward Vilonia (population of 4k)

The long lived Texas super cell is now Tor warned. It could pass near Texarkana later on.
