There needs to be a separate generation carved out between Gen X and millennials.

People born between 1975-1985 are not really like Gen X and definitely not millennials. I say we reclaim are independence as Gen Y, or "the rest of you suck generation".

Yup.

Been saying it for a long time.

Millennial born in 81 was 20 years old during 9/11
Millennial born in 96 was 5 years old during 9/11

And we can talk about the internet

Gen Y ftw

This is what happens when a society becomes infected with the cancer of progressivism. And these things are not by accident but rather design. Progressives know their Marxist agenda cannot be realized so long as American society exists; thus it has to be set on a course toward complete collapse. The progressives have played the long con and it’s paying off. Dark times lay ahead. I weep for our children and grandchildren.

Me and five of my friends drove to Mardi Gras from Shreveport and spent Friday through Fat Tuesday in a dive hotel. That was in 1989 and out parents never knew. We were 17.

All your post does is show how completely indoctrinated you are. I don’t say this with malice, but I pity you. You’ll go your entire life never having the slight understanding of the world in which you live. That’s a fate I’d not wish on my worst enemy.

I say this with all sincerity- it is unfortunate that there were not even more abortions.. Why ? Have you ever tried driving on an interstate anywhere in America lately.. have you tried doing anything, at any beach, in the summer ? Have you tried doing anything at all on a long weekend ?? There are way, WAY too many people on this fricked-up planet .

We were the most under- parented generation in modern American history. Which is why we matured early, valued freedom and kind of didn’t give a frick. I raised myself from 12 on . The shite we did, kids today don’t believe. Half of us had the freedom of adulthood right after puberty.I loved out a few months after turning 18 and never looked back. Hell I was crossing international borders in my car at 18 without any sense of it being unusual.

Totaly agree! Most Gen X kids left the nest at 17 or 18 never to return home again.

Millennial vs. Gen X comes down to if you watched SpongeBob or Looney tunes. Also if you napped on a rug in kindergarten or a 2 inch padded mat.

Being a kid in the 90s was awesome.

Country has gone to shite since 9/11 honestly.

I remember as a kid going to McDonald’s and they had the play place and Nintendo 64 stations and id play while my grandparents sat in the smoking section. Yes McDonald’s still allowed you to smoke then

I think you asked me in a GMT if I played singles or doubles. Had a match that day and by the time I saw your post it was too late to respond and bump the thread.

I strongly prefer doubles bc I enjoy the strategy and net play. I play singles bc it’s still tennis but not nearly as fun for me. You?

I like singles since it gets the heart rate up. The camaraderie of doubles play is tough to beat.

Worst part of tennis for me bc it means I didn’t put it away at the net

Sorry for the hijack.

1981-1991 millennials are wayyyy better than the later ones. They experienced and remember the end of old America and the beginning of tech dominated America. They hold a lot of the older American values and remember real freedom and are better employees but they also are tech savvy. We remember malls and arcades, super Nintendo’s, being able to smoke most anywhere, movie theaters, cord phones, and no cable tv. But we also got to experience the rise of internet and cell phones at a young age.
