Surprised these two didn't get in considering they have two of the whitest names I've ever seen.

stuff, but how that bar gets away with their profiling is beyond me.

It's a bit ironic too but gaslamp is bit infamous for being the start point for a murder involving two very wealthy white people.

Every bar I've ever been in had racial discrimination.

Also every nightclub I've ever known to have a turn in the demographics of their patrons has closed down within a year.

Every nightclub I've ever known to have a predominantly AA clientele or be a hip hop dance club gets shut down or goes broke due to that sub-culture not being able to have fun without shooting each other either in the parking lot or in the club.

Also if you can't/won't pay the cover you don't get to play. Who sits around across the street from a club you can't get in to? They think they'll just snag a drunk bitch as she's coming out the club. You get 2's and 3's that way.

But a group of African American men said they weren't shown any hospitality on Friday night when they claim the doormen told them it would cost $20 to get inside.

so they are mad because they had to pay $20 to get it? Seems like they felt they we're entitled to get in.

there will always be racism in america and everywhere else, people just need to accept that and get on with their lives without playing the race card when something doesn't go right in their life

and why do black people crave shitty VIP sections? all my black friends call places in advance just to check on VIP shite and check to see if they have outrageously priced bottle service

People love to rush to judgment over assumptions and get offended without knowing the reality.

I once had a front desk employee accused of racism bc she "didn't charge the white lady a co-pay". Really not going to waste my time explaining that everyone's insurance works differently.

I've been charged $20 before to go into a predominantly black club while my black friends weren't. I didn't complain or go running to the media, it is what it is.

I walked by City Bar BR a couple weeks ago and there was a long arse line and no one in the bar. fricking terrible establishment.

They purposefully do this on slow nights to make it look like its a packed bar. so they don't let anyone in to create a line and the appearance of a hopping club

So you go through all that, pay 20 dollar In cover (because some shitty DJ is playing upstairs) to find out that there's no one in there because no one was dumb enough to pay 20 bucks to hear DJ shitty dub step on the 1s and 2s.

I always end up getting dragged to that hell hole too, because chicks are dumb, and either I or a friend of mine has to meet them there. Luckily we know a bouncer there that gets us in without cover or line, but that place still sucks arse.

And yeah they deffinitly profile, but they smartly let a black guy do it before they make it to the front of the line so it comes off better I've seen those guys come up with some weird arse rules to not let some dudes in.

A couple still do. Very selective whenever they enforce it.

Pretty sure I've been to 90% of the bars in midtown by now because I'm cool and drink, but have never wanted to go and no one I know ever wants to go. Apparently it is packed though, apparently just 3-1 guido-girl.

That bar sucks anyways, they should consider themselves lucky. It's like bogies on a gameday night with slightly better drink service

Yea but it's massive, I meant more in terms of the crowd volume on a friday or Saturday. Taps on Washington was my spot when I lived in Houston.
