Garage sales suck this weekend, but they always do on holiday weekends.

I did find these two New Mexico clay vase jars. I paid $65 for the two, $40 for the gray one and $25 for the red one. The gray one is R. M. Romero and the red one is Donovan Thompson.
The gray one has great potential. There are a few on eBay by that artist from $200-$500, but none sold.
I may need to keep MrsAntiqueTiger from getting the gray one. It matches her living from perfectly (not the living room in back ground, our other one)

Updates from last week:

The painting sold for $355 (paid $50)

This clock sold for $35 (paid $2)

Maskatron sold for $150 (paid $90)

Star Trek - few pieces sold so far for $95 (paid $118)

The elephant Pez sold for $45 (paid $3)

The Fluke sold for $76 (paid $10)

The train sold for $86 (paid $10)

The pipe sold for $32 (paid $24)

That’s $874 off of $307

I think it’s racist now to own that type of pottery. Better hide it if the neighbors come over.

Romero is the artist name. He must be Italian. The other piece is Donovan Thompson, I’m guessing Irish.

So you own a couple of culturally appropriated bowls?

Off to the camps with you.

I actually like these threads, and enjoy looking at the stuff you flip.

ETA: I have an old candy machine from the 1940s or 1950s sitting under my carport. My old roommate bought it at an auction that was from an old Western Auto. It has a bunch of old school hot rod stickers on it. I’ve kept it for nostalgia sake because it looks cool. Wifey now wants it gone.

Throw it up on eBay or Facebook market place.

I will update this thread tomorrow evening when the other auctions close.

Damn, I really wanted to bid on that and just forget about it. I should have just made you an offer.

Someone thinks a little too highly of themselves.

I once bought a collection of those clay vases. I, nor the person who had them, knew much about them. I gave $10 each for them, and I think there were like 23. I still have two, the rest I sold. I was surprised at some of their values, but didn't try to get everything out of them. About half of them I sold to a dealer out of Franklin, TN where she could make some money.
