People come to this city in droves to visit this city. Property values are up. New condos are being built everywhere.
How is that not a city on the rise?

Those are some good metrics
Lack of white collar jobs has been a theme of this thread
No end in sight for the crime problem
Ludicrously high car insurance rates
Public schools mainly terrible and private schools not very affordable
If you aren't making 6 figures there I can't see how you could support a family

All of my friends have white collar jobs. And houses are getting bought up left and right. If there are no white collar jobs, who's buying them?
And again, the crime issues here are the same that exist in any major city. No crime is always the goal, but it's not like New Orleans is Chicago.

What?
Per capita, it's several orders of magnitude worse.
Not sure if serious.

In many cities homes and buildings are being bought by investors, not homeowners or businesses. I think a third of downtown Vancouver has been bought by Chinese.

Insane how many $500k+ condo's are being built downtown currently. I don't know who exactly are purchasing these but more power to the developers.

I didn't say there were no white collar jobs
But it's very limited compared to other major cities

You have any facts to back that up? I'll wait.

Where are you getting these statistics of all the people leaving New Orleans in droves? I'll also wait.
