That's the route pushed by the "Allendale is sacrosanct" crowd. As I understand it, 3132 isn't up to interstate standards and it would be very expensive to make it so; possibly more than a four mile connector north from I-20 to 220. It's been discussed in the Shreveport Times many times, but reporting is so bad, one doesn't get a clear picture of which route will prevail.

And I agree, environmental issues has been one of the biggest hurdles holding up the completion of the this section of I-49.

It baffles my mind that some ignorant blowhards are attempting to block the most logical & direct route through decrepit Allendale. The Inner-City Connector would be the best thing to happen to this part of SHV.
