Called WFMF radio station and won 4 free tickets by answering some stupid trivia question. Showed up at the door of The Funny Bone with 3 buddies for a night of comedy. They said sorry, no free tickets. You gonna have to pay. We said bye bye. Never went back.

Sae Pauly Shore do a huge bit about blowjobs. Women in the audience were either laughing their arse off or had a big Karen face. There was no in between. It was hilarious. And very telling.
You either Hawk tua or you don’t.

I remember some dude who did a Zima skit that was pretty funny. But that’s about it.

Thanks. I looked up another club, Lafayette Comedy. Looks like they have a good thing going at Legends.
Yep, opened link, same one. Good deal.

Lafayette Comedy is JP Leonard's company. He's a local standup that also books acts for the club and puts on open mics around town.

Used to win free tickets almost monthly off the radio! They had some great comedians!

Louisiana sucks for comedy. All the comedians even say so
New Orleans sucks for a comedy club. There’s too much other stuff to do.

the middle aged guy that introduced the comics
That’s Tom Hirschey. Dude’s a serious, no-nonsense navy vet who did his time in Vietnam. You’d never guess that from his ties to the comedy scene though. There are stories out there that he used to teach students almost like he was a drill instructor in a navy boot camp, but I’m not sure if that’s accurate or not.

Is that club/bar still around?
Fun fact, University View Academy bought it and turned it into some sort of virtual learning building

First and only show I saw there was, Jon Reep
Grew up a few towns over from that guy. Every school in our area had a Jon Reep..
In fact, Jon jokes about being from a small town, but our town was so small we had to drive to Jon's to have a venue big enough to have our Jr/Sr prom....
