I used to work with a guy who was a former Marine Corps JAG. He had been to bases all around the world and had seen Seals, Rangers, Green Berets, et al. He said all those were really impressive units but had no idea of Delta's capabilities until he got a chance to see them train. He recommended to stay on their good side if at all possible.

I work with a guy who use to fly scout choppers in the Alabama Army Guard years ago. He's a nice guy and all but I figure if he can do it, it's not got to be something too daunting.

You know as well as i do they print instructions on every dang thing in the military, so i figure i could hop in a blackhawk and read the dang directions.....

And for the record....frick all who keep telling me to be friends with! i am a grown arse man and if OweO and I are cool, why does that raise your temp so much? self ck time!

Funny story. Back in the Spring of 2000 my enlistment was almost up and they'd announced due to Bill Clinton's cutbacks, my artillery battalion was going to be turned into a Chemical battalion. I was not about to chance my MOS (again) and this time to fricking Chemical. I started looking around and found the aviation (Blackhawks) unit in Birmingham had slots available for crew chief. So I though, hell yeah. It'll be cool to be a Blackhawk door gunner. But then I asked myself one question...
Do I trust myself enough to go up in the sky inside a helicopter where I'm in change of making sure the rotor mounting bolts are torqued to the correct spec?
I never did go aviation.
