They may not all carry over. I do CLE's because they help me venture into new areas and I meet different lawyers. They are almost always willing to give you stuff.

my jam is the small firm/solo CLE in nola every year either right before or right after mardi gras
a couple years ago it was amazing to see the difference in small town attorneys and even me from LC. the gap has closed a bit

I notice the Louisiana CLE's can be bigger, except for the Immigration CLE. The CLE's here in Mississippi tend to be relatively small. I guess it gives me more of a chance to interact and network.
