Anyone have any helpful info on this school in Baton Rouge:
Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University
A friend from out of town was asking me about it for his daughter (If good info is provided I will get the pics).

It’s got solid medical and theology programs. What specifically would you like to know?

You can probably get tuition assistance if you agree to work at OLOL for a while. They should ask.

its a good school the things they teach. Solid healthcare programs like nursing, respiratory, radiology, etc. Also very good PA program. And yes, the Lake will do a tuition scholarship if you sign an agreement.

It's a really good school. It's private so it can be pricey, but definitely worth it.

Have a student in the PA school now.

PA School got rid of all their teachers because they got suspended. The suspension wasn't educational related, it was clinical related (which they have now addressed).

Pricey...yes.

Individual attention for each student....yes.

Rigorous curriculum...yes.

Also have a friend who has a PT student...a little less competitive on admissions, but is finding the same results.

For comparison, we know a family who has a student at a PA School in NOLA. First semester isn't as tough, and students don't get the attention mine is getting at FranU.

fwiw, this is our experience.

I've heard good things about the education they provide. I have heard negative things about the administration being inflexible where graduating seniors (multiple, separate instances) were summarily dismissed without warning after having personal problems. I'm not saying FranU wasn't justified in their decisions, but their communication and empathy were seen as lacking.
