We should hunt politicians for sport instead.
Imagine having Mitch Landrieu's head mounted above the mantle.

Jimmy John's is awful. It's like if Subway tried less.

I have seen Mary's head in more than one compromising situation while at LSU

I believe there are some preserves in Africa that have saved some animal populations by allowing hunting (and charging a handsome price). Basically, since they're selling a product, they have an incentive to care for the populations.

What if it's going to die soon anyway?

I would never do that type of hunting but it won't stop me from going for a #9 Italian night club this weekend

Yeah that's a good sandwich.
But honestly, anyone who purposefully hunts elephants and rhinos I have to wonder what the frick is wrong with them. And endangered rhino, he deserves more hate than the guy who killed the lion did.

Personally, I would rather live in a world with exotic animals. On the other hand, if that guy died tomorrow, I wouldn't care because I dont know him. If that makes me a bad person, so what?

The poachers aren't doing guided hunts.

Great, people getting upset about something that they dont understand. typical.

Absolutely. There would be a hell of a lot more vegetarians if people had to kill what they eat all the time.
Ehh, for a few weeks. They'd cave in eventually though just like our ancestors did. shite, I've eaten a goat that I saw beheaded in front of me once before. I'm sure most people would do the same.

No, it gives the owners or managers of the preserve incentive to ensure their product is protected by preventing poaching. It gives them monetary incentive whereas many of the govt agencies are either on the take or don't want to risk anything to prevent poaching. It's basically a solution to the tragedy of the commons.

I don't get killing an elephant. Makes no sense.

This is one of the dumbest posts I've seen in a while. They are actually giving locals a reason to protect the "product" from poachers.

You're incredibly naive to think that.
I'm sure you don't think that the locals have any idea what the going rate for one of these animals is? I'm sure you don't think they want a part of that action right? The price paid to hunt them, the price for ivory, skins, bush meat, etc. They know what these animals are worth.
No one should be allowed to kill an elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Lion, etc.
I've been a hunter all my life, I'm not some bleeding heart pussy, but I appreciate nature and I prefer to live in a world with healthy populations of fantastic wild beasts.

Yeah I'd get no satisfaction out of that. Can you even eat one? Probably tough and gross meat
