Agree, Indeed is definitely solid as compared to a lot of places.

I would also suggest Glassdoor as another very viable option if you are not familiar with it. In addition to job postings, you get Insight on salaries for the positions you are applying for and reviews of the company from current and former employees so that you have a better idea of company culture and what you might be walking into.

Hope that helps.

I read your post as "I will probably be getting laid in 30 days." I couldn't figure out how you knew you were probably going to get laid 30 days in advance. The only thing I thought of is is that it was going to be your wedding night.

Hope you land another gig. The company I work for is getting ready to merge with another huge company. The worst place to be is in some leveraged service like purchasing, IT, sales. It's inevitable cuts will get made in those groups; got to find synergies. Glad I was able to get a job back in the site ahead of this.

If you are looking for something specific, Indeed is a good search tool.

That's not usually how it works.

Unless you're not carrying your weight, I think there's a chance you will make the cut.

If not, just remember it's a numbers game.

Apply to everything and everyone. You can always say no.

Don't take time off either. Start making inquires now in case your suspicions are correct. Stay active and aggressive or you take a chance on falling into a rut.

Maybe this will help ease the home price surge in Dallas?

Your contacts, whether they're your customers or competitors, are a great place to start. I have also had good results with recruiters/headhunters and Indeed. You may also try a job board that is specific to your industry (e.g., Rig zone = O&G, ihireconstruction = construction, etc.). Good luck.
