Depending on how you're using that word, the sentence may be justified.
If by let, she didn't do everything in her power to stop him. Maybe a bit harsh
If he told her he was going to kill the baby and she said sure do it. Then probably justified.

Extremely curated. Federal prison is email only. State prisons usually low email, video conferencing, Ted Talks, shite like that. Most have a pay system, so you have to have someone on the outside paying for your DATA.
With that said, one of the most common contraband items in prisons is a cell phone.
