Yelling at a cop isn't illegal and should be expected in most domestic disturbances. That this officer can't handle that is a sign he shouldn't be a cop.

I guess getting in the cops face and yelling at him didn't work this time. Who knew?

But I can understand why she had an emotional reaction. A 7 year old kid threw paper in a man's yard so the man thought it was okay to choke that kid. And just because a 7 year old throws paper in someone's yard that doesn't mean he was never taught to not do that.

When I was a kid me and my cousins, who are the same age as I, got in trouble for throwing rocks at cars. We knew it was wrong and that if our parents saw us, we would get in trouble. Someone who knew my parents passed by, we threw rocks at her car, she pulled over and went tell my parents. We all got a few licks and was punished for the rest of the day. We never thought about doing it again.

You can tell a kid to not do it, explain to them that it isn't appropriate, but when you choke a kid thats crossing the line.

I understand and the cop overreacted but yelling at him only made her problem worse.

He's trained, or should be to handle those type of situations. Yelling at a cop isn't a crime. The mom was upset, but posed no threat. Choking and hitting a 7 yr old kid is, but guess who went to jail?

He literally asked the mom " why wasn't it ok" for a white adult man to choke her 7 yr old kid. The cop is trash and whoever else sides with him is trash also. Any person being honest with themselves would react and be just as appalled as that mom if a cop said that to them about their kid

The lesson to be learned here, "teach your children to NOT litter". You know, so they don't get choked out, have their mom tasered, and thrown in jail.

There is a lot of truth hidden in this snark. I'm not saying the choker was right or the cop was right. Everybody was wrong here, just a matter of degrees. Nobody knows how to "adult" anymore.

"Why don't you teach him not to litter?"

a-hole, you have no idea what she does or doesn't teach him. Also, why did he conveniently forget about the guy who allegedly choked her kid?

It's sad how that situation unfolded, and the cop is a fricking idiot. Especially when he asked why the neighbor wasn't allowed to choke a kid. That's insane. But the chick holding the camera should've got tasered and beat with a night stick. Goddamn she was annoying.
