That's a great question actually. I think you would be shocked at how friendly and open MOST heavily tattooed people are. Mine are mostly family and music related (20 year musician, not a phase).
My ol lady is probably 60% covered, no neck or face tats though, even I draw the line there
Had numerous piercings, but the gauges are the only ones that stuck.
