Sounds like the typical socially unaware pit owner.

I gave you facts, and you vomited up a lie about the the genetics of the APBT being based upon man's desire for the breed to protect women, children, etc

In early America, these frontier dogs took on an all-purpose role. They were responsible for herding cattle, herding sheep, guarding livestock and families against thieves and wild animals, helping on the hunts and as hog catchers. Their loyal and loving demeanor with humans, especially children (this is where the “Nanny Dog” myth originated from), earned them a prominent place not only as a working dog but as a companion.

You pull a quote from some BS pro-pitbull site? I knew you'd do it!

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the unbiased opinion of pitbullcycling .com/why pitbull?

Who's OPINION is next? Leroy'spitbullpuppymill.com?

Bro, I'm talking chess and you're talking checkers: I'm talking about the genetic breeding and traits that the originators of the pit bull were looking for and bred for- the foundation of the breed's demeanor and for what work it was designed to do- up until this very day .

And it is one: to catch and kill.

I mean this is a screenshot of the opening statement on the page from which the garbage text you quoted came from. Get this trifling chit outta here man. A zest for life? You got that chit right.

I don't know your dog obviously, but you can take it from this old telephone man that pit bulls are typically the worst breed we encounter. I mean, we're more likely to get nipped by the little ankle yappers, but pit bulls are the ones that strike fear into us.

Not-so-quick story: Met a customer in deep LP who had a "nice" pit bull. Everything seemed good. I was in the customer's living room, and I petted the dog and everything. Life was good. I then walked out the front door and opened the gate into the backyard. I was about halfway across the yard when that same "nice" pit bull came through the rear doggie door and charged me. I was in the dead center of the yard with no way to escape. As the dog came airborne towards me, I managed to clock her on the head with my meter. She still managed to bite my forearm, draw blood, and leave my left arm/hand scarred. Thankfully, the blow to her head disoriented her long enough for me to get away.

So, yeah, even the "good" pit bulls can DIAF.

Old telephone man pro tip: If you're entering a yard that has or may have any kind of canine, bring a can of wasp spray with you. That shite will stop just about any kind of wildlife.

Even if it’s switch doesn’t eventually flip and turn it into a mailing machine, you suck for making your neighbors have to worry about a breed living close by whose track record for being dangerous is at the pinnacle of breeds. It was all about you and your need For attention. It always is with pit owners.

Nailed it!

I went hog hunting with a guy that used pits for catch dogs. Once you see a pit in action you know you don't want that breed around your family. And before someone says, "Well that's what they're trained to do". When you see a pit go off, you know that's not something they had to be trained to do, anymore than a lab has to be trained to do a simple fetch.

When a pit goes off, they completely lose it. For at least some period of time, the owners commands aren't heard. Physical injury isn't a deterrent. If you have ever been to a dog fight you know that already. The fury they can unleash is impressive and has it's place if you are hog hunting or fighting dogs. But just like I wouldn't leave a loaded shotgun unattended around kids, I'm not letting a pit around my family either. The odds of something happening may be low, but the consequences are far too dire.

You can find that information on several sites. That was the first one to pop up. Chess and checkers? Very original.

It's always fun to watch people who have never owned a pit bull pretend to be experts because they saw a hit piece on the local news.

When I hear a woman refer to herself as a pet parent, I think it is pathetic. I have never, until now, heard a man refer to himself as a pet parent. Is it possible that a woman is using the name Mr. Clean? If not, we need to get him one of those little pink hats that all of those losers were wearing after the election.

This. It's the same people who bitch about others being brainwashed by the media.

Where did I mention a news piece? And where did I say I was an expert? I said I watched, in person, what a pit bull is capable of. I have been around lots of them but have never wanted to own one, based on what tendencies I have personally seen the breed display. Why don't you address my actual words instead of making up a fictional narrative that suits your argument. If you want to own one, that's your right. I just said I would pass on the breed.

Looks just like the pit bull that strayed onto my property one time and then got its brains blown out.

You didn't need to. "Nailed it!" did it for you.

So you saw one dog react in one situation, and now everyone who owns one is putting children's lives in danger.

Pathetic.

Good to see the picture of the dog that is going to kill at least 2 of your family in the next 3 years, when it snaps.

We will be able to describe it to the forum, after it happens.
