Yeah no kidding
I'm by no means a prude and I've never had to bail anyone out of jail, get into a fight or anything like that.
Drunk friend throwing up? Yeah that's happened like freshman year of college but if this guy has "lost count" of these things then he has some trashy arse friends.

Absolutely. I actually find it to be worse for people 35 and up. At least in my twenties people kept in touch and wanted to be active rather than stay at home and do nothing.

Once I got to about 21 or 22, I stopped hanging out with the morons you describe. You’re an average of the 5 people you spend the most time around. Get better friends

Under 25 is majority post-millennials. I’m 24, born in 94 and millennial cutoff is 95

I’m 26 just barely in the clear

It’s was the late 70s and early 80s. Watch “ dazed and confused” and that was pretty much everyone’s high school. Ole Miss in 80s was way out of control.
All drinking related and frat crap, nothing serious. But college roommates now don’t even seem to talk to each other. We all had each other’s backs, even if we didn’t all like each other. That is clearly gone

1.) Why are you spending so much time in college dorms old man?
2.) This couldn’t be more false. No clue where you pulled this from.

Sounds like you need better friends
It's a weird world.
I feel like I over-extend as a friend. A friend is having a medical procedure? I'm showing up with a massive basket of magazines, snacks, snuggle stuff, etc. the day before. A friend's birthday? I'll clear my entire weekend calendar to be able to participate in whatever they plan. Someone wants to meet up for a drink or dinner? I'll put clothes on even if I'm already in jammies and meet them out.
But when it is flipped and I'm the person, people are a LOT less on the feet for me. Pretty much 100% of my friends will be "too tired" to do something even in the early evening. My birthday may as well be forgotten if I don't plan something and even then, it better be something said friend already likes to do. Our yearly crawfish boil is like pulling teeth to get my own girlfriends to show up.
Even my friend that commiserates about this stuff with me when her other friends treat her that way.. does the same shite to me.
People suck, man. Jones tells me all the time I should stop putting effort into going above and beyond for these people because they sure as hell don't return it.

Are you saying I should lose weight?
You got the wrong girl, friend.

I hate all of these bash millennial threads but I 200% agree here. Hanging around my dad and his friends when I was small, I heard some great stories and you can tell they all genuinely cared for each other. Now, you can't get a 5 dollar bill without vinmoing your friend 6 dollars first. I'm truly envious of the was things used to be in that regard.
