For all the mothers that have gone on

This is going to be the first Mother’s Day without my mom. Having a rush of feelings... mostly happiness and thankfulness, but also a lot of grief. I hope for all of you missing someone that tomorrow flies by, and for all of you loving someone still here that it passes slowly and you make beautiful memories.

Same here. Glad to have had the time with her I did and the close relationship. But I miss her very much. Sending love and light your way.

This is the second Mother's Day that my Mom is gone. She had a good long life (93) and all of my siblings got to see her and celebrate that birthday about 3 weeks or so before she died.
The old girl drove me crazy at times, but she was a good Mom. I miss her but, if my Faith is fact, she's enjoying Paradise with my Dad.
My best to all who are grieving the loss of a Mom or other loved one.

Thanks for posting this. I know how you feel. My Mom passed away a few years ago, and I still miss her every day. Moms are the best.

My Mom passed 9 years ago. She experienced a lot of physical pain in her last years with us. She is in a better place now along with my Dad. Both are missed very much.

The first time I heard that song was when an older friend of mine sat in the front yard of the woman who raised him (not his birth mother) on the Saturday night before Mother's Day with a guitar and sang that song. I was like 17 or 18 and it blew me away. She was just squalling by the time he finished it. Her mother had passed the year before. Funny the things a person remembers.

3rd year for me since my mother has been gone.I think about her often. Kind of grateful she didn’t have to go through the whole corona thing.

Do you ever get the feeling
You wanna kiss and hug her?
Do it now
Tell her you love her
Don't do to your mom what I did to mine
That's called... Sad

All great comments above. I hope this doesn’t get moved to the Music Board for all the links, because it’s really just about people missing their mothers.
This was a song I loved the first time I heard it. I knew how much I loved her and would miss her.

I'm jealous of all of y'all. I lost my mom in 1983 from breast cancer. She was 27, I was 8. I never really got to truly know her. And after almost 40 years, I still think of her daily.

Today would have been my Mom’s 90th birthday. She died from Alzheimer’s complications in 2005, so I feel those feelings, But she is in heaven and not suffering from that horrible disease. It is still tough after all these years.

I feel your pain brother. I lost my mom September 25th, two months prior to her 93rd birthday. These last 7 months have been very trying, but a little less painful as each month passes.
