I just checked milk in DFW as I was curious to know what the heck is going on, if you're in NOLA or some such. Frisco, Plano and Dallas zips and stores is $2.74. The cost of living in DFW can't be different than Louisiana, or I wouldn't think.

It's a Texas thang. Most dairy and beef is cheaper here than in other states. Try comparing Texas brisket prices to out of state, for example. IDK how it works, but I noticed it when I moved here 30+ years ago.

We are definitely paying a lot more on groceries than we did 4 to 5 years ago. In 2023 we spent almost $11,000 more on groceries than we did in 2019 and also just a little over $10,000 more than we spent in 2020. To make that worse in 2019 and 2020 one kid was in high school who was away at college in 2023, so for 8 months in 2023 we had one less mouth to feed than in 2019 and in 2020.

A little of what we buy at grocery store can be toiletries or some cleaning stuff, but We usually get close to the same stuff and amount with that and also with groceries.

Your fat arse gets groceries delivered too?
My skinny arse shops for lower prices if I don't like the ones at WAL MART of all fricking places.
