A Florida man was arrested Thursday evening, 10 days after he allegedly shot up a home after one of its residents complained about an experience at a restaurant, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

On Aug. 20, deputies were called to a home after Norman Auvil, 42, of Orlando -- riding in an SUV driven by Michael Johnson, the restaurant owner's son -- shot the home three times before Johnson drove away, according to an arrest report.

"It's my right to be able to tell others what my experience is and what happened and stand up for my mother," Monica Walley said. "I think that anybody in my shoes would have done the same thing."

According to the report, Monica Walley was unsatisfied with the diner's response, so she launched a social media campaign against the diner, alleging that they mistreated her mother because of a disability.

Deputies said the men were angry about the damage to the diner's reputation and the negative social media campaign, so Martin used an internet search engine to determine Monica Walley's identity from her Facebook post and to find her address.

Maybe they could turn this unfortunate misunderstanding into a clever ad campaign.

More importantly, though, for the OT, should this lady tip next time? If so, how much?

Something like “We cook our steaks over real fire, but we promise we won’t fire any more shots into your family’s home”?

Just another reminder how crazy some people are and the illusion of protection behind a computer screen/social media.

This thing of trying to ruin the lives of the dozens of people that work at an establishment because someone got pissed off needs to stop.

They pissed you off. Don't go there anymore. Having people threaten the employees and trying to ruin the business is a little over the top.

If you mess with people's ability to eat they are going to respond negatively.

I don't get it either

If we go to a restaurant w/ bad service/food or whatever we just simply don't go there again

Starting a "social media campaign"to end them is insane

Nasty little people with no power over their own lives love the power social media gives them over someone else's life

Maybe if she just shut her piehole and complained directly to the manager, this wouldn’t have happened.
