My own anecdotal evidence suggests this is a bald faced lie.

However, my evidence consists almost solely of Jimmy John's delivery guys downtown.

In BR, it is extremely rare to see a bicyclist actually obeying the law. It’s bad - they only follow the traffic laws if they perceive their life to be in imminent danger.

I follow all the traffic laws (yes I stop) and have lights on my bike. Only because I understand that a 4000 lb car wins every time. Why other cyclists don't get this is beyond me.
