Okay... you say this...

It’s a myth about pet owners being the major problem.

And then this...

The real issue was hurricane Andrew rolling through Homestead. It released an almost uncountable amount of pythons into the Glades. Homestead was the exotic snake pet breeding capital of the world.

Ummmm...who, exactly, are the exotic pet breeders breeding the pets for? Pet Owners. So.....

I think there is a difference between assholes voluntarily releasing the snakes because they got tired of them and a hurricane destroying homes and the snakes escaping.

I used to sell metal roofing to those pet breeders before Andrew took them all out,

The Glades are full of snakes, turtles, and exotic birds not part of the ecosystem. All because the breeders had a utopian spot the grow and provide for the pet industry. Florida was smart enough to ban piranha after a school had been caught.

Most believe the myth of homeowners letting their pets loose.

Flooding can wash snakes all to one spot, the marsh areas will be full of them. So, I guess they will just wash back into the Everglades if they ventured out.
Best we can hope for are the eggs to drown or scatter.

It’s crazy how few mammals I see when I’m snake hunting in the Everglades compared to Louisiana. They really have had a huge impact.

What about the monkeys that Florida has? I know they have a good size population of rhesus macaques.
