A capital case has a higher threshold to meet to convict him.

It's more likely he cuts a deal or the prosecutors can't meet the requirements and he goes free.

If the cops overlooked one thing they were supposed to do,the case fails.

The Florida governor is dumb.

Wrong.

I know of someone who killed one person, and received the death penalty. No other major crimes involved. Dude was a teenager and it was his first major crime committed I believe. POS deserved it too.

This POS deserves death as well. Pretty sure another cop died trying to chase him down on a motorcycle as well. Lloyd killed 4 people, just kill him now.

Props to Rick Scott. No one is going to attack him for this, absolutely no one.

Markeith Loyd is the best candidate you could ever get for public execution. What he did was fricked up and evil and cold hearted to his very core.

In this country, our judicial system has become ridiculous. When a judge/unelected official can overthrow a presidents/elected officials policy, something needs to change.

You seem to struggle with a really simple concept, seperation of power. Quick refresher... legislative, executive, and judicial.

Say another case comes along for a political crony and the governor thinks the prosecutor is getting too close to a conviction. He can reassign the SA at a moment's notice, to repay a political debt, or to shield shady activity.

Or he can nip it in the bud and issue a pardon......

Precedent doesn't have to be established to do what you are saying, and it would have the same negative outcome for the gov.

The way it was worded could be confusing if you were just skimming. I had to slow down and read it twice myself and then checked it a third time before I replied to you.

Ric Scott's a good guy. Met him several times when he took over HCA. Obviously, exceptionally smart.

I have a problem with governors making prosecutorial decisions

But not a problem with a DA playing policy maker when prosecuting criminals ?

That's her job to make prosecutorial discretion types of decisions. It's well within her discretion to do that if she thinks it's in the interest of justice.

I agree, but this guy needs to be put down.

Scott is also an actual crook. CEO of HCA in Nashville at one point and was corrupt as Huey Long. Led to the largest federal penalty in US history and him being fired. It was the largest scale Medicare fraud in US history as well. Its a company that, before and after Scott, prides itself on integrity.

In the auditorium there, they have grand paintings of all the CEO's, except one.

Guy is a piece of shite.

I understand the separations well, I just cant understand why the judicial always wants to legislate.
