If the world was flat, wouldn't that mean that it should be sunny everywhere at the same time? The fact that it is day in Asia and night here sort of proves that the world is not flat.

This wouldn't work because they will be following the GPS and will be making full turns to the East/West and a full turn to the North again and they will end at the North Pole again as if they were just walking the three legs of a triangle.

Exactly, because the Earth is round they end up back in the North Pole. They really don't even need GPS. They just need a compass.

If the Earth was flat, they would need need to walk in a square to get back in the north pole.
