You must not read much, not surprising judging by your childlike reaction. Thanks for insulting me, you've proven me right and clearly intellectually surrendered to me, your superior

For once can't we all just agree we got that SOB today in history? I guess not. Haters gonna hate.

Obama always says that terrorists aren't real Muslims.
Then there's this:
Then there's this:
quote:
Senior US officials told news agencies that his body was disposed of in accordance with Islamic tradition, which involves ritual washing, shrouding and burial within 24 hours.

So out of all the Taliban and al queda fricks they killed in the last 10 plus years, OSL is the only guy that they buried at sea be a use of the sacreligion? I don't buy that shite at all
Makes sense. OBL's grave would be a shrine for terrorists. The others, not so much.

OK so what... we should state we shot him to pieces and spit on his body, pissed on it, then burned it?
Imagine the press... imagine the backlash...
what some of you people can't understand is that war has the combat, and it has the press/image side as well. The world is now small. Ever since WWI every side's actions become known and are scrutinized by everyone else.
It's a smart move to at least SAY you treated his body in accordance to muslim law.

I thought Clinton authorized a missle strike on what was thought to be an OBL training camp.
No. Clinton wouldn't authorize the strike because there was a slide near the training camp. Little terrorists probably blew themselves up later

I think I've read that there were 22 or 23 SEALs, an Afghan interpreter
The back story of the interpreter was interesting he was a Pakistani-American who was pulled from a desk job for the mission at the last minute. Similar thing happened in the mission to save "Captain Philips". The person with the needed language skills was also a desk jockey had no spec-ops or any other field experience, and 24 hours latter was doing a tandem parachute jump out of the back of a transport plane into the ocean.

Hey, do you speak (whatever particular dialect)? No kidding? That's great! Hey, would you like to work a little overtime next week? They extra pay will be great, come with me.
That's a great story. Very Jack Ryan like. Teaching history one day, whisked off to the North Atlantic the next.

Wouldn't surprise me if they did it either way. Obama is soft on Muslims so I could see where they would actually do the bridal thing (even though that's a slap to the face of every victim's family from 9/11) but I could also see them just saying that.

Welcome back, So which book had the reporter doing a HALO jump into Bagdad which is what I immediately thought of when I read about the interpreter on the Captain Smith mission?
