I mis spoke. The driver of the van survived and her child. Another mother on the trip lost her daughter then went into early labor and had the baby.

I believe the Depeche Mode song Blasphemous Rumors touches on something similar, in which the lyrics discuss a girl wanting to commit suicide, yet turns to religion and prays all is ok, but is killed in a car wreck two years later.

My parents who were traveling to Sarasota were slightly behind this wreck.

They are now traveling back home on I75 and have seen 3 different major wrecks within a span of 15 miles or so.. Cars flipped over, people laid out on stretchers, etc.. Just unreal.
