Went back to the gym on Monday and did chest for the first time in 3 and a half months. I went too hard too fast now I can't move my arms higher than my stomach

Golden nugget looks much better but damn you are still spastic. Are you like this on bodyweight chins or can you hold your body in a straight line and go real smooth through the movement? Honestly you drop the weight completely and practice bodyweight chins and film it. Compare that film to those on YouTube.
Need to film a video of me doing bodyweight. That was my top set. I did do bodyweight after this set but did not film.
I understand what you are saying. The entire movement needs to be smooth. Even though I wasn't swinging this time I was still too jerky.

And squeeze your fricking shoulders when you're at the top.
Wouldn't have counted a single one of those reps in the corps

Honestly you should be able to knock out five sets of 10 with max rest of 90s before really adding weight or be able to knock out 15+strict strict.
Being honest with you, you have to work on your form. The hip thrust and leg drive is just a form of kipping. I am not criticizing because I am far from perfect just pointing out what I see. Your pull-up form is worse than chins and you should think long and hard about deloading both before continuing. Once you can do it extremely strict both ways, then add 2.5lbs per week. Slow down the progression and you will be way better off in the long run; I speak from lots of experience on that. Screwed up a bunch of times trying to progress way faster than I should have.

They definitely look better. Like someone else mentioned, try to control it a little bit more.
Ignore most of the idiots on here. They are just mad because they can't do a single pull-up due to their pizza and beer guts.

Put a medicine ball between your feet to force your legs straight.

Will do body weight starting Tuesday

Exactly, I have come to the conclusion most people on these boards are fat, drink everyday and don't work out at all. At least all the ones older than 30 it seems.

Sabi is the pull up king. Listen to his advice.
Posted on 2/17/17 at 9:38 am to goldennugget
Yeah lsu77 is right. You're pullups aren't strict enough. It's okay to kip when you're trying to get those last 4 in, but not as you're starting the set.

you appear to simply not be ready for weight. I know you think the belt looks cool but you aint ready bruh

I am just trying to get better
It takes some level of courage to post a video doing lifts and asking for critique. It would be a lot easier just to say that I an 225 pounds and 6'3 and 9% body fat who benches 10 reps of 400 and dead lifts 1000 pounds.
I might not have an impressive body yet but I am working to get there even if it takes several more years. And I'd still rather have the frame I have right now than be a skinny fat slob with a belly overhang or just outright obese. Otherwise I would have just stayed at a skinny fat 205 and not shed 50 pounds and continued to be a slob.

Redundant since I am dropping to body weight until I can get my form locked down, but when the day comes, where between the legs. Thighs, knees, shins? And how big of a medicine ball

yeaaaa whatever. nobody believes your motives. There are literally millions of video and articles online with proper form and technique yet you choose to submit video to a bunch of degenerate retards whom roughly 2% could offer viable information. I have a feeling you are more impressed with yourself than anything which really just makes it that much more humerus

If you're serious about stopping leg swing then keep your legs straight and stick them about a foot in front of you while you do slow controlled reps. It will strengthen your core and help you maintain a controlled motion particularly when you add weight and stops you from cheating on your reps
It's not redundant because it will force you to keep absolutely perfect form.
Before a weighted medicine ball I'd recommend going with one of those balls they use for yoga the big bouncy kind that don't weigh anything.
Put it between your feet so it doesn't touch the ground and squeeze your legs together.
We used to use a straight stick between our feet about a foot wide and if you dropped it you lost 5 reps off your count.

I think lsu777 gives good advice. If I didn't get good advice the last time I posted I wouldn't have done it again

HAHA I wasn't referring to you. I was reffering to those calling you skinny fat. Your right it does take balls to post anything that shows you on here. I hestiated for a long time to post my progress pic last summer and almost didnt.
frick most of the people calling you out. People were mad at me yesterday on here because I said if you are drinking 2 cocktails a night you are an alcoholic. People got mad last week when I told them to stop whining about diets being so hard and just do it so you aren't a fat arse.
I am almost universally considered and a-hole except on the putthafordown thread. Honestly who gives a shite and you should feel the same way. you posted the video to get advice on a lift not to catch shite from some fat arse drinking a beer calling you skinny fat.

Doesn't have to be big. You just need something between your feet so you won't pick your knees up.
Posted on 2/17/17 at 9:55 am to goldennugget
google hollow body hold/hollow body chin ups. This will give you an idea of what the movement should look like. Feet together, legs straight, slightly out in front(about a foot) and back vertical. For weighted the chain should be long enough and you should be using no plates larger than 10 lbs, so the weight can fall between the thighs where it rest behind them in a vertical line with your back. hope that helps.
