This is a sad post. I feel sorry for you, honestly. Not sure how you get by day by day

It sounds silly, but wait until you're looking for something specific and you'll see. I'm looking for one without a button to press to open/unlock the door, no extra features that can break, and preferably no "express start" when you press a number, and it's slim pickins.

look on Amazon or Home Depot, I have replaced a couple in rental units over the last year or so and found basic micro waves in minutes

Microwaves built in the last 15 years are trash. When I built a new house I spent extra money thinking I might get lucky. Had to replace it in 3 years and we didn't use it constantly. Replaced with a cheaper on and it's lasted longer but the display doesn't show all the characters so you guess at the time or certain settings. Was talking with wife this morning saying hope this one lasts a while bc I don't know how the sizes will change bc it's a built in area in cabinetry. Live and learn.

That’s because your data is valuable.

My wife insisted on buying a new LG washer and dryer.

It got delivered and we tried to use it, it froze and gave a message that we had to connect it to the WiFi. We called customer service and they said it would work without connection, but we had to download their app to our phone and connect the machine through the app to cancel the setting. Naturally to get the app running we had to agree to share our data before the app would operate.

I called the store and told them to come collect the piece of shite and deliver some basic unit. My wife is till pissed about it, but I don't need a damn washing machine collecting data all day long and consuming data. It was an infuriating experience.

Just heat up your nuggets from the app baw. You can probably watch on the in-mcwave cam from the couch.

And this is where you should have stepped in, done the model research and read the reviews to find the right set.

The LGs I bought 18 months ago have Smart Diagnostics, and that's it. Hit power button, spin dial to "normal" mode, hold the start button. Walk away.

That's the first microwave oven I was introduced to as a kid in the 70's...

My rich friend had it, I was amazed that the plate didn't get hot.

This was the first one my family purchased in the late 70's. A Whirlpool, it had a knob you pushed in to set the analog timer and the slide temp adjuster...

My preference was a Speed Queen. Wife refused to consider the brand. The reviews said that LG's were great and she was dead set on the brand. Nothing like this showed up in the reviews, I did not figure it would be this bad.

We ended up with an LG without the "tech", but I have to admit that I don't like the models we ended up with as well. The washer is okay, like any other modern washer, it barely washes clothes and more or less soaks them in a small amount of water for 40 minutes or so. The dryer is awful and takes forever to actually dry the clothes, usually somewhere between 2 and 3 hours. The research and reviews say LG is great and what sold my wife on them, personally I am very unimpressed with the products.
