Link me to the stats regarding your claimed millions of wrecks involving 40+ year old vehicles.

Sure. Soon as you verify your fellow mouth breather's statement about 1972 models.

I hear they are deadly.

Yeah, they are/were

The onus is on you. But here's some easy reading just about the leaps in the last 20 years, let alone 40

...and if you read the thread, jackass.

You would see that no one is arguing cars of today are not safer.

The argument is this blanket statement about 1972 cars.

And if you had gotten into a moderate wreck you probably would have been dead or seriously injured.

That statement is 100% false.

Should be easy for you to prove with something other than running your mouth then.

Interestingly enough 1972 was the peak of auto fatalities in the US. Most ever.

It's hyperbole.

You are clearly familiar with hyperbole just from your post history.

The facts are though that his statement does have more merit than you seem to want to admit. The death rate was double in the 70s what it is now. That isn't even taking into account just being injured.

You prove it's not.

Prove that 1972 cars were inherent death traps.

I've shown you data and video that shows how much worse they fare in wrecks compared to their modern counterparts, which directly correlates to more serious injury and/or death. It is now up to you to show me how that is somehow not true.

You can't, which is why all you can do is name call and melt.

That doesn't prove that cars were death traps.

Look at the DUI statistics. The drop in fatalities also went hand in hand with massive crackdowns on drunk drivers.

Yea, the crash tests do. Look, you want to be willfully ignorant and put your kids in less safe vehicles, go ahead. but don't come here crying when they die from a wreck they could have walked away from in a car form this century.

I'd say anything prior to 1973 was a death trap being that was the year the first "air bags" were produced

Nah it's the crack down on DUIs, not safety features

You just make sure your snowflakes never get in a car older than a 2020 with all the latest safety features.
