Local post office, bring a passport photo, available at Walgreens.

Got one specifically for my honeymoon and I don't foresee using it again before it expires.

My passport is expired, and I need a new one pretty soon. I don't mind paying extra, and if I can have it the day of just to have it out of my mind, that'd be great.

I have gone to NOLA and done the same day passport deal, but at the time I had to show proof of travel out of country within a couple weeks. Have any of y'all done this recently and did they require you show your travel itinerary?

How fast do you need it? I think they are running about 2-3 weeks on non expedited renewals right now.

That's part of my issue is I'm not sure exactly when I'll need it. Sometime in February so I'd likely be fine not expediting but for the peace of mind I'd very much like to just have it asap.

Because it's a rule. As previously stated, fairly recently amended to include a "natural smile."
