since its paper; i came up with what i thought was a rather unusual idea. i found a local printing company that can laser etch wood.

i called them up and they had me email them a photo from our wedding which they engraved into the wood.

ours came out much better than this (found it on google search) but she absolutely loved it. its on a piece of wood about 8.5 x 11 in size and just has our anniversary date on the bottom.

Starts around $50 for a 6x8 and goes up to 12x15 is around $120 from where I got mine. Not sure where CAD got his. It's a great idea. Kind of a stretch to consider it paper though but I think she'd love it anyways.

I've used these people 4 times. Excellent quality. I'm curious about the one CAD used to see if they're better priced. Great gifts for anyone really and more than just plaques. They do marble and stuff too.

Our gift was our trip to Playa del Carmen.


We couldn't go the month of our anniversary so went to a very nice restaurant the actual anniversary and ate our wedding cake that had been in the freezer.
