The highly anticipated “Finding Nemo” sequel, “Finding Dory,” may just feature Disney Pixar’s first on-screen lesbian couple. A new trailer for “Finding Dory” was released last week, and over the weekend, fans with a keen eye noticed a couple that appears briefly in the trailer.

Finding Dory hits theaters June 17 — and might be making some progress along the way. The newest trailer features a shot that shows what looks like two moms doting over a baby in a stroller.

Personally I watched the trailer and I didn't get any gay vibes from the characters but maybe im not progressive enough to see the gay. Or maybe people are just making something out of nothing

So Ellen Degeneres is playing a lesbian role in this movie?

She has so much range.

How comically ridiculous is this? There is such a yearning for an openly LGBT character from those folks that they're celebrating two women near a stroller in a show with animated talking fish.

They're not lesbian.

Check out the trailer. 1:06 mark.

That is what people are bitching about? Good lord, move on. There are gay people in the world, Ellen is probably the most famous lesbian there is and she's tasteful so I know they'll do right by her. This is about what I expected, I don't know if Disney is ready for gay main characters but you will definitely start seeing secondary characters.

You are wayyyyyy on the wrong side of this sort of thing and Disney would be as well. First of all, this isn't happening in this movie. Second of all, the "bitching" is coming from people who are responding to insinuations that this "couple" is lesbian.

No unbiased observer sees that clip and thinks "OMG DISNEY IS PUTTING GAYS IN OUR MOVIES", but there are idiots who want it so badly that they'll latch on to anything in hopes that now is the time.

Two women talking in a park next to a baby stroller. Nothing more, nothing less. This is no different than the people who think Elsa was lesbian. I mean if you want her to be, more power to you, but this shite is getting a bit ridiculous.

What I find funny is the over representation of gays in Hollywood. They're less than 10% of the population yet they're shown way more than that yet they still complain.

Its Disney we're talking about. They drew a bunch of d*cks on the little Mermaid cover for f*cks sake.

Well, I won't be taking my kids to see it.

ETA: not because I hate lesbians or anything. I just hate Ellen. With her stupid chipper plasticity and her moronic dancing and her smiling and daytime talk-showiness.

She grates on me. I want to fight her and wipe that smug fricking smile off her face with a stupid haircut.

I have three kids, there has been a bunch of these movies at my house. They could have two fish making out and I don't think I would notice. I hear people talk about Disney movies, grown people, and I just don't understand how you could be so caught up in them.

The sequel to "Finding Nemo"? The most sold DVD of all time? I'd be very shocked if it grossed anything less than 900 million worldwide.
